The stone comes first.
At the centre of this ring is a 3.11 ct sugarloaf-cut ruby of Burma (Myanmar) origin, accompanied by a GRS report.
Rather than faceting the ruby for brilliance, the sugarloaf cut gives the stone a smooth, high-domed surface — placing the emphasis on its colour, volume and presence.
Around it, 179 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 4.09 ct are set across the 950 platinum ring. Their faceted brilliance creates a deliberate contrast with the uninterrupted surface of the ruby.
