The iconic Rainbow Collection
An early LEYSER signature, the Rainbow Collection was created at a time when combining vividly coloured gemstones in this way was still unusual in fine jewellery. LEYSER was among the early houses to explore the idea — bringing sapphires, tourmalines, garnets and other natural gemstones together in deliberately graduated compositions of colour.
Rather than following a predetermined sequence, each piece develops around the stones themselves. Individual gemstones are selected for their hue, brilliance and the way one colour responds to the next, creating subtle shifts in tone and intensity.
The Rainbow Collier
One of the earliest and most recognisable designs in the collection, the LEYSER Rainbow Collier uses sertissage invisible to create an almost uninterrupted line of colour. With the setting largely disappearing from view, the gemstones become the composition.
The idea has since evolved beyond the original collier into rings and bracelets — each interpreting the Rainbow principle through a different combination of natural coloured gemstones.
Selected stone by stone
Every Rainbow piece begins with the gemstones. Their individual colours determine the rhythm, proportion and character of the finished jewel before the design is completed in our Idar-Oberstein atelier.
No two compositions need to be quite the same. Rainbow pieces can also serve as the starting point for a bespoke creation, built around a particular palette, gemstone or combination of colours.
