Two oval tanzanite cabochons totalling 31.08 ct form the principal stones of these earrings, accompanied by two oval tourmaline cabochons totalling 16.20 ct.
Rather than relying on facet patterns for brilliance, the smooth surfaces of the cabochons place the emphasis on colour, volume and the relationship between the stones.
Twenty brilliant-cut diamonds provide small, precise points of light, while 18k white gold keeps the setting visually quiet around the coloured gemstones.
With 47.28 ct of tanzanite and tourmaline in total, the design is deliberately restrained around stones of considerable scale.
